Because great families deserve great friends
We're helping families in East Cobb find real connection—not just playdates. We match you with other families who share your rhythm, values, and favorite local spots, so the kids play and the parents click! This includes matching families with similarly aged children

How it works
1. Download our mobile app
Answer a few short questions about your family: the number and ages of your children, your family values, and your meetup venue preferences.
2. Opt in for the week
On the home screen, tap Find My Pod. That tells us you are free this Saturday.
You do this every week you want to meet — nothing happens automatically, and there is no obligation to be free every weekend. Some weeks you will be busy; just do not opt in.
Opting in is not a guarantee of a match. It depends on who else near you is free and looking for the same kind of outing.
3. Get your pod on Friday night
At 8pm every Friday we put the families who opted in into pods of up to four, and give each pod a venue and a time.
You will get a notification naming the families you are meeting, where and when.
We try to give your pod the time you asked for, but venues are limited and a pod takes the time most of its families chose, so we cannot always promise it.
Every pod gets a group chat the moment it is formed. Use it. Say who you are, agree where to meet inside the venue, mention that you will be ten minutes late.
If the weather turns, the chat is where you sort it out between yourselves — move under cover, change the plan, or agree to try again another week.
Pod chats close when pods rotate the following Friday. If you would like to keep talking to a family, send them a connection request — see step 6.
4. Turn up
Saturday morning your pod card shows the venue, the address, the time and a Get Directions button.
We do not organise, host or attend the meetup. It is your afternoon — turn up, let the kids loose, and talk to some adults.
If something comes up and you cannot make it, tell the others in the pod chat.
5. Tell us how it went
On Sunday we ask three quick questions: did you go, did the venue work, and would you meet those families again.
It is optional, and it is the single most useful thing you can do for the app. It picks better venues and better pods for you and for everyone near you.
6. Keep the families you liked
From the Past Pods page you can send a connection request to any family you have met. If they accept, they join My Community and you can message them one-to-one, or start a group chat, any time.
Connections are yours to keep. They do not expire, and they stay even if you stop being matched for a while.
Our Story
I moved to the United States from a small town in Ireland after meeting my wife, Leslie. Growing up in Ireland, my family lived in a cul-de-sac with several other families who had children around the same age. We were surrounded by a tight-knit community, and the friendships formed during that time lasted a lifetime—not only for my parents, but for me and my siblings as well.
Since moving to Georgia, I’ve noticed how difficult it can be to build those same kinds of genuine connections in today’s fast-paced world.
But I know we’re not the only ones. There are plenty of families—just like mine—searching for deeper relationships with like-minded people. That’s why I created Families In Good Company: a platform designed to bring families together based on shared values, interests, and lifestyles.
Whether you’re into beers and BBQs or kayaking and pizza nights, we help families of all backgrounds find their perfect match—so you can build your own modern village.
Welcome to Families In Good Company. Let’s make connection easier, one family at a time.

How much does it cost to join?
Your first meet up is free. If you enjoyed your experience and want to meet more families, it will cost $9.99 a month with a recurring subscription through Stripe. This give you unlimited weekly meet ups. Or you can pay a standalone $21 that will allow you to go to 3 meet ups of your choosing.
How are families matched?
We use your survey responses—including values, vibe, location, and parenting rhythms—to connect you with families who share a compatible energy and outlook. No algorithms can guarantee a spark, but we aim for connection, not just proximity.
What if we’re a non-traditional family?
You're in exactly the right place. We intentionally support diverse and non-traditional families who often find it harder to meet like-minded people. Every kind of family is welcome here.
Can we meet more than one family?
Yes! Meetups may consist of up to 4 families, although some will be less. The idea is you meet up with and experience many different families and slowly build your community with families you click with.
What kind of places do families meet up?
Most matches begin in public places like parks, kid-friendly breweries, or hiking trails. We focus on relaxed environments where parents and kids can connect comfortably.
Is this safe?
We do not perform background checks on our users. However, we only organize meet ups in public spaces. Please use the same precautions you would normally when you are out and about with your children.
How often will we get matched?
Hopefully, if the right families all opt in, then you can get matched each week. However, some weeks there may not be enough families with the same qualities as yours and therefore you may not get matched every week. You also are not obliged to meet up each week. You choose when you opt in!
